HALF DAY GOSPEL TOUR TCCT

This is spine tingling stuff... gospel singing African-style.

On Sundays, we include a visit to a Township Gospel Church (approximately 40 minutes) into our regular Township Tour. Here the warm welcome of the congregation and their vibrant voices, will echo in your heart, long after you have left Cape Town.

This is a variation of our daily scheduled half day Township Tour where we include a visit to a Gospel Church in Langa. We spend about 30-45 minutes in the Langa Baptist Church where we participate in the choral singing before continuing with the half day Township Tour.

Walk our streets, visit our homes, see our schools and hear stories about our culture, traditions and rituals. With us you are not a voyeur, you are our guest.

This scheduled half day cultural tour of the Cape Town Townships of Langa, Guguletu and Bonteheuwel, includes:

· Pick-up and drop-off (Atlantic Seaboard, Waterfront and City Bowl)

· Drive through District Six

· Townships visited: Langa, Bonteheuwel, Guguletu

· Includes: home visit, walking tour, shebeen / tavern, crèche, art and crafts, and various memorials.

Our tours facilitate personal experiences, discussion and interaction between township residents and visitors. Group are small and tours are conducted by current or ex-township residents. Our focus is on people and their culture, traditions norms and customs and day to day life in the Townships.
