Hi, just got back - tremendous game and result on Saturday!!
Thoroughly enjoyed our first experience of South Africa. We were verypleased with everything you arranged for us and would not hesitate to passon your details and recommend you to friends.
Timbavati and Simbavati Lodge were definite highlights for us - we were treated very well by all the staff. Special thanks to Arend and Diff for tracking the animals and talking knowledgeably about all the aspects associated with a safari experience and also to Elmarie for providing us with the much needed coats and hot water bottles on the game drives!! Sable tours also did you proud - beautiful, spectacular scenery on the panoramic tour back to Pretoria. Again a knowledgeable and interesting tour provided by the driver who could not do enough to help us. The picnic lunch provided, prepared by the driver's wife was a real bonus. Also very happy with the services provided by Wilro Tours. However we were surprised and disappointed with the Johannesburg/Pretoria area regarding the lack of freedom and the high crime rate where we were advised not to walk anywhere. We would like to return to South Africa but not to this area. Is the area around Cape Town and Durban similar to this? Thanks again, Mark, Hazel, Ben and Rachel
