June 07 South Africa Honeymoon
Hi, Stephen.  What a pleasant surprise to hear from you!

The trip was outrageous.  South Africa is a wonderful place.  We
learned so much about the culture, apartheid, the animals - it took us a
good week to get back into the grind of NYC.

Specifically, The Rusthof Guesthouse was nice.  We were the only guests
there so we received a nice amount of attention.  We went horseback
riding through the winelands.  That was one of our favorite things we
did!!!  The winelands were beauiftul.

Abbey Manor in Cape Town was exceptional.  We had the best room in the
house with a large bath overlooking table mountain.  It is a wonderful
place and I highly recommend it to other guests.  Although on a large
hill and quite a walk, we walked to and from the waterfront,
restaurants, etc.  Taxis were at our beckon call.  I guess it was slow
season.

Safari - what can I say?  AMAZING. Londolozi exceeded our expectations.
It was a magnificient place.  We were well-taken care of from the
beginning to the end.  In addition to wonderful dinners, game drives,
sun downers, we slept in the bush with our ranger.  Years ago Brooke
Shields filmed a movie at Londolozi and in doing so built a platform in
a large tree.  Our ranger made an offer for us to sleep out there - we
did and when we pulled up there were beds with duvets, mosquito nets, a
bonfire, wine, cheese, a port-o-potty.  It was out of a movie.  We were
with another couple so the five of us drank, laughed and had a superb
time.  The lodge is awesome and if I was to return to SA I would go
back.  The animal viewing was awesome as was everything else.

King's Camp was also beautiful, classy, etc. but it didn't match
Londolozi for us.  The staff at Londolozi felt like a large, close-knit
happy family - the staff was amazing, they were fun, energetic,
cohesive.  King's Camp, although excellent, felt more like a hotel and
spa for us.  It wasn't as rustic as Londolozi.  The animal viewing was
good - we watched hyenas eat a giraffe who died of natural causes, lots
of lions, etc.  The food at King's Camp was top-knotch - better than
Londolozi which was also amazing.

All-in-all - trip was out of this world, we were treated like royalty,
and will certainly return when we have kids.  We need to start saving
now :)

Thank you for all your help along the way - you helped us plan an
unforgettable honeymoon.  Everything worked out, including our private
tours, pick-ups, etc.  Nothing fell below our expectations.

I hope to work with you again in the future when we return to the
greatest continent on earth!

Warmly, Genevieve and Kenneth
