Dear Stephen, Sorry about the delay in responding, but we didn't return home until March 14th and have been really busy with re-entering the real world of mail, emails, phone calls, business, getting tax returns done, visits from grandkids, family and the list goes on. South Africa exceeded our expectations. Absolutely a beautiful country. I loved all the natural history, the animals, the cultural diversity, the rich tribal and cultural history, and the friendly people. You are right we would love to return. Cape Town was a fun place to start the trip. Loved your choice of our hotel which caters to the Movie Industry. Very artistic, good food and a good location. Thanks for helping us to do our own tailored tour. We were happy with our itinerary and doing the self driving. That gave us freedom to set our pace and make a lot of individual choices. The few tours we took really enriched the trip. Nottens was a great choice for us and we lucked out with no rain, no buggy conditions and had great guides. While it wasn't imperative for us, we did see the big 5. The Drakensburg Mountains remain one of our favorite spots. Great guide - beautiful country. Johannesburg was a good surprise. The Apartheid Museum is a world class museum. We enjoyed your recommendation of seeing the Mai Mai market. It would have been great to have been there with you there and hear your take on it. We got to see some of Soweto also which was great. You were also right to get us to take Rt 62 to Oudtshoorn. Very interesting part of the country. We loved La Plume and had a great tour of the Ostrich Farm by the owner. We enjoyed talking cooperative farming and all the issues of his industry versus ours. I am passing your name on to our friends that have been intrigued about our South Africa Trip. You did a great job of blending our wishes into a workable itinerary. The lodging choices were very good and your suggestions translated into great memories. Thanks for a memorable and unique trip. Carolyn & Guy
