Please excuse me for not writing before. I was very busy when we got back and afterwards remised on getting back to you.
The whole trip was a most memorable experience! We have such fond memories of our two weeks in S.A. and Tanzania. For me it was the last chance to spend time with my daughter as it turns out she is getting married in September.
I never expected Cape Town to be such a first world city and also extremely beautiful both because of its natural setting and all the fine man-made aspects of the city and environs. Our four days there were very enjoyable and instructive. Graham was an excellent guide both knowledgeable and friendly. We came out very impressed with your country.
Tanzania was the Africa one expects. After delays getting from Dar es Salaam to Arusha we started our incredible tour. Our guide was very good and knew his business well. A highlight was seeing within ten feet a pair of lions mating and lounging around in the Serengeti. Ngoro Ngoro was incredible. All the tent and hotel accommodations were excellent. A great experience. Your choice of tour operator was very good.
We managed to squeeze in an overnight visit to Zanzibar which we liked very much with its history of Portuguese and Arab influence, its bazaars, its Muslim population. Very romantic.
All in all a great experience!! Thank you and please excuse the initial mistrust.
