Stephen, Hi, we had a terrific time in Africa. It is so beautiful! I was expecting dry prairies and what a pleasant surprise. It was green and diverse. I loved it. The safari guide was excellent. He "Adam" was very knowledgeable about the animals their habits as well as cultural and political information. He spoke great English and helped out in arranging accomodations when the reservation desk gave us twin beds each time. We went into the village at Arusha and visited the market. That is where he and his young family live. It was fascinating. The bumpy roads were a bit difficult after a while and by the time we got to Tarangire we were tired so stayed in our digs for the afternoon. It was incredibly beautiful there with the river right there. This was our favorite and most comfortable stay. I wish it had been longer there. This is where we got the closest contact with the animals too. We saw so many all along our journey.. Loved it all, we got over 800 pictures. Dar es Salem was fun at the resort although it was in construction phase and very noisy. In fact we attempted to move our accomodations but didn't know where else to go. We did get a room on the quieter side and survived the noise. There was a conference going on which was interesting. We boated out to an island where we swam and had lunch and got very sunburned. We met interesting people and learned a lot. I enjoyed it immensely and consider it my best vacation to date. Thank you for your help in arranging it all. Kalynn
