South Africa World Cup

In 2010, the fifa World Cup Soccer will be held in South Africa.

The South Africa World Cup :11 June - 11 July 2010

The people of Africa love the game of soccer and the South Africa world Cup will be a showcase for Africa. For the first time the  world cup will be held on African soil. It also promises to be potentially one of the most lively, upbeat and memorable world cup tournaments to date.

South Africa regularly hosts major international sporting events, and since 1994 has successfully managed some of the biggest events including the 1995 Rugby World Cup, the 2003 Cricket World Cup,  the Women's World Cup of Golf in 2005 and 2006 ,January 2006, the only street race in the inaugural A1 GP World Cup of Motor sport, the famous Golf President Cup Match, and the u21 World Cup Cricket.

For four weeks in 2010, South Africa will be the centre of the world. The 2002 World Cup in Korea and Japan was the most extensively covered and viewed event in television history. South Africa 2010 promises to draw even bigger audiences.

South Africa Sold out advertising space for the 2010 World Cup quicker than Germany did, and  a record number of teams are in the draw for the South Africa 2010 Wolrd  Cup qualifying matches.

Not only does   the 2010 South Africa World cCup promise to provide some incredible games, the area of Southern Africa hold so much for the traveler to the region to do and experience, such as South Africa Safaris, Botswana safaris, the Okavango Delta, Victoria falls, Zambia Safaris, Namibia safaris, golf holidays, South Africa cultural tours, South Africa volunteer holiday, Africa safaris and other South Africa tour.

Tickets for the South Africa World  Cup will be hard  to obtain, and as such South Africa world Cup tickets  will be once again tightly controlled by FIFA. 2010 World Cup tickets will be divided into 4 categories, with 1 of the  World Cup ticket categories being allocated to local south Africans. Ticket sales for the 2010 World  Cup will begin in several phases in February 2008.

Information on tickets for the South Africa World  Cup is available by following this  link

I have created some unique South Africa World Cup packages that can act as a starting point to help potential travelers plan  a South Africa world Cup travel package. These South Africa World Cup holiday tours can be created according to your time frame and budget.

Former South African President and Nobel Peace Prize laureate Nelson Mandela reacts to the 2004 announcement that his country is to host the 2010 World Cup

The 10 stadiums that will be used for the Fifa Soccer World Cup in 2010 have been announced.

There will be five new stadiums, while five existing stadiums will be upgraded for the world’s most popular sporting event .

Three existing stadiums in South Africa’s major metropolis, Gauteng, will be upgraded. These are Soccer City (FNB stadium), Ellis Park in Johannesburg, and Loftus Versfeld in Pretoria.

The Royal Bafokeng stadium in North West will be upgraded, as will Vodacom Park in Mangaung (Bloemfontein) in the Free State.

Five new stadiums will be built or rebuilt. In Limpopo, the Peter Mokaba stadium in Polokwane will host 2010 games.

New facilitiesNew stadiums will be built at Mbombela in Mpumalanga, and in the Nelson Mandela Metro (encompassing Port Elizabeth) in the Eastern Cape.  Kings Park stadium in Durban will be rebuilt for the event, becoming a multi-sports facility.

In the Western Cape, Cape Town’s Green Point stadium will be rebuilt, becoming a "totally new" multi-purpose sports facility complete with a dome that can be opened and closed. The dome is necessary for Cape Town’s unpredictable weather, said Oosthuizen.

I custom design packages for Southern Africa. Therefore for the South Africa World Cup, I will design your package to meet your needs ie time frame, budget, interests.

Im   a Soccer or as it is known world wide, a football  fan, .....I actively referee, have coached  and still  am a active player. So for me the Cup is not a chance to jump on the band wagon to make a quick $, like so many people will do . It's a passion for me, so I can create South Africa World Cup travel packages, for some thing I dearly want to see succeed.

I have also created  a unique  Soccer Safari package, so any recreational clubs, college's, charities, semi professional teams, professional teams that want a unique cultural experience, blending playing soccer, safaris and local people to people contact.

I have a South Africa World Cup e mail list to which I sent updates and news pertaining to such topics as tickets for the South Africa World Cup, South Africa World Cup travel packages, etc.

If you are interested in joining that list, and or want to contact me about a South Africa World Cup  package, my contact information: mailto:stephen@go2southafrica.com
