Our partner is a registered non-governmental organisation (NGO) with the Department of Social Development, which has been providing care and assistance to orphans (including HIV/AIDS orphans) since 2000. Situated in Midrand – between Johannesburg and Pretoria – the Children’s Centre provides an essential service to disadvantaged communities nearby. YOU will be able to help these orphaned children realise a fuller life. The Children’s Centre currently provides 24-hour care to 52 children from under a year to 18 years of age and runs a pre-school on site. YOUR help will alleviate some of the work-load on the professional employees enabling them to increase their service delivery. Their mission statement is to provide quality care to orphans, abandoned, abused and retro-positive children. To address physical, emotional, social and educational needs of children. To promote the development and protect the interests, safety and well-being of children within the context of the family. To train and counsel the youth on AIDS and life skills and provide prevention programmes. YOUR donation included in the project fee will contribute to the long-term sustainability of the project. On your return home you may continue to support the project with on-going donations directly into the projects account.
