Make yourself at home

As a Premier Classe guest, you have the luxury of choice.

A selection of different room types on-board the opulent sleeping coaches of the Premier Classe offers superb accommodation for the weary holidaymaker.

Choose between a room that comfortably accommodates 2, 3 or 4 guests, and a room for a single traveller.  An internal telephone is available in the rooms should guests want to order refreshments or beverages.

You’ll also notice that we think of everything to make your experience more memorable. We also provide gowns, bedding and toiletries for use on the train, although guests are reminded not to remove bedding or gowns after the journey.

Another personal touch is the fact that beds are turned down for guests, making the evening even more luxurious.

The dining cars have been branded BJ’s in order to identify them as such, both on the interior and exterior. The warm, friendly and vibrant colours seen at all BJ’s outlets countrywide have also been used on the coaches.

 The fast food "restaurant on wheels" is a first for South Africa. Passengers can enjoy a sit down meal in a air-conditioned dining car.

Passengers can also enjoy their meals in the comfort of their compartment/coupe by making use of the corridor service. BJ’s menu’s can be faxed through on request.

Sit back and relax

The superbly appointed Lounge Car offers the perfect way to view the breathtaking South African landscape. It’s the ultimate after-meal venue to relax and have a complimentary tea and coffee. If you prefer, you can order soft drinks and alcoholic beverages from the cash bar.

High tea can also be taken in the afternoon. It is the epitome of luxury travel and a wonderful way in which to reflect on holiday adventures or even to appreciate the quality of quiet time in the company of a well written book.

Our chefs are renowned for their ability to create a tantalizing variety of delicious meals in a kitchen that boasts the very best appliances and facilities imaginable. Luxurious and air-conditioned, the Dining Car is where you can indulge in freshly prepared meals, complemented by some of the finest South African wines. It ’s the ideal place to savour your experience on-board the Premier Classe. Comfortably seating 38 people in one mealtime sitting, guests can enjoy a four-course lunch, followed later by a five-course dinner.

To further enhance your journey as a pleasant experience, we encourage guests to dress appropriately for meals.
