On this tour is about great african leaders like Nelson Mandela, President Thabo Mbeki, Steve Biko etc. who grew up in the Eastern Cape of South Africa.
Day1:
In East London we visit the Steve Biko monument and Lock Street Gaol before travelling to King William's Town to visit the Xhosa Museum, the site of the Bisho Massacre, the Bisho Legislature and the former home and grave of Liberation Struggle hero, Steve Biko. We also visit Ntaba ka Ndoda - a symbol of the struggle.
Overnight: King William's Town
Day2:
We travel to Fort Hare University, the alma mater of past President Nelson Mandela and many other great African leaders; view the ANC archives, the De Beers Art Gallery with its fine collection of African Art and visit Lovedale, which gave birth to Fort Hare.
Overnight: Fort Beaufort/Alice
Day3:
We enjoy a morning Game Drive then visit a rural village to meet and listen to rural people tell us what their experience has been and how they see the future. Then it is time to return to East London where our tour ends.
