CHALLENGE’s The following 8 day, 7 night concepts align perfectly for a well structured challenge itinerary or team building event. All make use of well known parts of Africa. All use the format of keeping road travel to a minimum, using hotels or tented luxury camps for the first and last night, and camping for the 5 nights in between. 1. The Lion’s Challenge The Kruger National Park is one of the most renowned wildlife reserves in the world, and the oldest in Africa - a 19000 square kilometer park that spans 350 km from north to south, and 60 km from east to west. Nowhere else in the world will you encounter such diversity of animal and plant life in an easily accessible area the size of Wales. The Kingdom of Swaziland is the smallest country in the southern hemisphere is also one of the most easy going and laid-back places. Swazis are more likely to celebrate for fun than demonstrate for reform. A progressive and hands-on attitude towards wildlife preservation has endowed it with a striking bunch of national parks. The country is mountainous and filled with rolling hills with African Villages peppered between them. The group will fly into Johannesburg and transfer toward the Kruger Park. The following day we hike in the Blyde river Canyon area before moving onto 2 days of game walking within the Kruger Park (The Sabie Area). We leave the Kruger Park and transfer by road into Swaziland for a day’s Mountain Biking and a days hike before heading back to Johannesburg for our flight back home. Day 1: Arrive JHB - overnight Pretoria (depends on flight times – could transfer to canyon today) Day 2: Transfer up to Blyde River Canyon – afternoon or full day hike Day 3: Transfer to Kruger and Game trek Day 4: Southern Kruger - game trek Day 5: Morning game drive - Mid day transfer through to Swaziland Day 6: Mountain biking or trek in Swaziland Day 7: Morning Hike or even pony Trek at Milawane - Transfer back into South Africa and stay at hotel/Lodge closer to JHB. Day 8: Transfer to airport and flight back home.
