South Africa Adventure Holiday
Day 1 Fly into Cape Town, pick up your car and then relax.

Day 2
You can do an abseil off Table Mountain and a downhill mountain bike dash on the same day, and still fit in a walk on Lion?s Head or the beach.

Day 3
Choose between sandboarding, skydiving, a tandem paraglider flight and sea kayaking. (actually, you should manage to get at least two of those in.)

Day 4
You could dive in the predator tank of the Two Oceans Aquarium, learn to sail or surf ? or even learn to dive, but you would need more time for that.

Day 5
Join a trip to either Kamakaze Kanyon or Suicide Gorge, but take your own vehicle. (Summer only ? these trips are not offered in winter.) After the kloofing experience, head off to Hermanus or Betty?s Bay to overnight.

Day 6
Paddle or ?surf? the Palmiet River, ending with a wine tasting.

Day 7
Drive to Mossel Bay via Cape Agulhas and Swellendam. Plan ahead and book to do the foefie slide near Swellendam. (A foefie slide is a flying fox ? this one is big and fast ? 200m long and 40m high.) Also consider a bungy jump or bridge swing on the Gouritz Bridge. (If you have a few more days (and your own bike), you could stay at De Hoop National Park and do some gentle mountain bike trails, or ? if you don?t have a bike and you book ahead ? hike the Whale Trail.) In Mossel Bay, choose between a horse trail, a dive, a sailing excursion or a sea kayaking trip.

Day 8
At Wilderness, choose between an abseil, a mountain bike ride, or a tandem (or solo, if you?re licensed) paraglider flight. You could fit two of these into one day. (If you have more time, stop over in Knysna, where you can do another abseil, a gentle, bird-watching canoe trip on the lagoon and a dive on the Paquita ? it?s a pretty unique dive right in the entrance to the lagoon, so it has its own special challenges. Knysna is also very close to the Harkerville mountain bike trails.)

Day 9
Drive to Plett, stopping at Harkerville to do one of the five mountain bike trails in the forest (you can rent bikes).

Day 10
Paddle out in a sea kayak ? you might even see dolphins or ? depending on season ? whales. If you want a better chance of seeing these magnificent marine mammals, take a ride on one of the dolphin viewing boats ? or fly over the bay in a glider or fixed wing plane.

Day 11
You could go for a horse ride, or a walk in Robberg Nature Reserve to see the fascinating stone age remains in Nelson?s Bay Cave.

Day 12
Head out to Stormsriver, where you can choose between a long mountain bike trail, a day of tubing, or the Stormsriver Challenge, which consists of a 100m abseil, a half-day tubing excursion and a short or long mountain bike trail (you choose, depending on your fitness level).

Day 13
An absolute must-do here is the Tree Top Canopy Tour. Other options include a dive at the Stormsriver Mouth, a series of day walks, and a boat trip up the gorge (if you didn?t do the tubing, you should do this).

Day 14
You could fly out from Plett or George but, if you do, first head just a few kays further east to do the Bloukrans Bungy ? the highest in the world.

Day 15

Or, if you have more time, do the bungy as you head further east. You could stay over at Jeffrey?s Bay to do some surfing, or even learn to surf.

Day 16

Then head off to the Greater Addo Elephant Park, where you can do a self-drive game viewing excursion, join a ranger on an open safari vehicle, or go horse riding among big game (if you?re experienced) or on the other side of the fence from the animals (if you?re not.)

Day 17
Spend the day in Addo, perhaps returning to Port Elizabeth in the evening.

Day 18
Dive, surf, walk or mountain bike. (If you?re flying out the next day, rather swop these round, doing Port Elizabeth first and Addo later, that way you won?t have to worry about your no-flying limits.
