"We must use time wisely and forever realize that the time is always ripe to do right"
...Nelson Mandela

Garonga Spa Safari Lodge

This camp is an exclusive 14-bed safari camp situated west of Kruger National Park in South Africa's Northern Province.

Inspired by the ochre-red spires of nature’s termite mounds, the camp accommodation has been designed to reflect the textures of the earth. Thick earthen columns, generous cushions on low beds and billowing white fabrics epitomise this oasis in the middle of the South African bush.

Tented Rooms

Each of the 6 en-suite 55 square metre rooms nestle into ebony trees on the banks of a water course and command beautiful views. Indulgences include hammocks on the wooden decks, indoor and outdoor showers and romantically draped beds.

Hambleden Suite

“Unparalled luxury accommodation in exceptional surroundings makes the Hambleden Suite a once-in-a-lifetime experience. Rich Balinese influences as well as the romance of old-colonial Africa create a strikingly elegant, warm and tactile atmosphere.

Total privacy and exclusivity are the key attributes. Wherever possible, guests will be provided with their own game vehicle. A private pool and a deck that affords superb views provide the finishing touches to this remarkable bush suite.”

This camps holistic philosophy is to offer a safari for the soul, an unhurried and intimate wildlife encounter – a time to reflect and find inspiration in nature.

Acitivities include game drives, wilderness walks, outdoor bush baths, sleep-outs, aromatherapy and reflexology sessions are available, but many choose to lie in their hammocks watching the grazing game in the river bed below.

Have an outdoor candlelit bath under the stars or be pampered by the resident aromatherapist while gazing languidly over the nearby waterhole.

For a major hit of African magic, fellow guests highly recommended the sleep-out deck, built on a platform arond a large tree. You're dropped off with a picnic hamper and drinks around sunset. Proper beds are made up underneath a mosquito net, and you're left (with a radio) and collected in the morning.

If each guest takes a deeper understanding of wilderness away with them, we have fulfilled our ambition to share our place of peace.

Contact us for rates..this is a LUXURY Safari Camp for eg rates for the high season ie September 03 to April 04 are about $350 pp per night..they drop down before September and after April.
