Kruger National Park Safari Adventure

Self Drive Tour or private guided Tour

Kruger Adventure Code AT SA7

All self drive tours includes personalized driving itineraries, meet & greet in arrival airport, welcome kit and a map book.

This route covers the Mpumalanga region and the Kruger National Park. It is one of the most beautiful scenic tours in South Africa. Enjoy panoramic views of vast landscapes, and have the chance of getting to know the cosy African savannah. You may choose either to stay at guest houses or charming first class hotels/lodges. The roads are in excellent condition, although you 'll have to travel on dirt roads occasionally.

Day 1 - Johannesburg to Dullstroom

Both the A and B routes take you to Dullstroom. This affords you a day of relaxation unless you wish to drive via Pretoria to see the Voortrekker Monument and the Union Buildings. You'll find Dullstroom to be a charming little town in the middle of the mining area.

Day 2 - Panorama Route

Take two days to explore this breathtaking landscape. The route leads you from Sabie to the Mac Mac Falls, one of the most famous waterfalls in South Africa. From here, continue onto Graskop and see the Lisbon and Berlin waterfalls. End the day after passing the Pinnacle Rock at God 's Window, one of the most impressive sights in South Africa, and then spend the night in Hazyview.

Day 3 - Panorama Route

Start early and head for the Eco Caves, which have impressive ancient stalactites and stalagmites. Continue on to the Blyde River Canyon, a majestically massive red sandstone gorge. Your journey continues on to Bourke 's Luck Potholes where the strong current has scoured cylindrical holes through the cliffs. Then drive through the lovely landscape towards Graskop and on to Hazyview.

Day 4 - Kruger National Park (160 km)

Spend the next couple of days in or around the Kruger National Park area. Those following the A Route will drive directly to the Manyeleti Game Reserve, while the B Route continues to one of the gates of the park.

It is a great experience to be your own chauffeur on a game drive. On the A Route, you sleep overnight in a private game reserve and on the B Route, you will stay in rest camps. Should you stay in the private game reserve (the A Route), all meals, game drives in open 4x4 vehicles and guides are included in your package.

Day 5 - Kruger National Park

Spend a similar day to the previous one in and around the Kruger National Park.

Day 6 - Johannesburg

On the last day choose to either fly or drive to Johannesburg - it 's five to six hours by road, and one hour by air from the Kruger National Park.
