Green Hunting safaris We can custom design your Green Hunting Safari, so please ask us. The actual lenght of the Hunting Safari is mainly dictated by 2 things: 1) The Hunters budget 2) The availability and needs of the conservation/scientific aspect of the hunt. Generally a minimum of 2 Nights is needed, as we need to transfer you to the area; Then their is a introduction to the game rangers/ conservationists/ vets/ etc, and time is spent going over the actual darting procedure. These animals are wild animals, and as such only hunters with experience should get involved. The dangers are many from the animal charging, to other animals charging or attacking, to partially injured animals, etc. The camps we use will range form traditional Safari lodges to bush camps. I suggest we add in a day of game watching to get a feel of the area you will be in. All meals, drinks etc will be supplied, as well as all transfers, etc. You, the hunter are not in charge. These hunting Safaris will be overseen by professional vets, etc, who will make the decision of how to run the operation. Our services can include Green Hunting Safari packages to suit your budget. Safari Lodges or other lodging as needed. The services of licensed and experienced support personal. Transport to and from Airports and all other transfers. Assistance in English, Afrikaans, Dutch or French Arranged Side Trips to African destinations such as Kruger National Park, Cape Town, Mozambique,Victoria Falls, and more. Our Immobilisation Safaris afford clients the opportunity to be involved in wildlife darting and management procedures. Various species such as rhino, leopard, elephant, lion, and many more, that need darting for management or conservation reasons such as pregnancy monitoring or contraception, health checks, transmitter implants or collar fitment, are darted by a wildlife Veterinarian in order for the procedure to be carried out.
Clients are given the opportunity to participate in the procedure being carried out once the animal is tranquillised and it is safe to move closer. Depending on the species and procedure involved, clients will have the option of a hands-on approach, or, if they prefer, simply observing from up close and getting those pictures of a lifetime! Feel the inch thick skin of a rhino, or the hair on the tail of an elephant… all under the guidance of Dr Brothers. Upon request it is sometimes even possible for clients to fly in the helicopter with the Veterinarian while the darting takes place! Immobilisation Safaris are normally a minimum of four days, which allows guests ample time to become familiar with the species we are planning to immobilise, and the actual procedure itself, thus ensuring a complete experience when we get down to the immobilisation. There is also ample time to enjoy general game viewing in the reserve we are working in. The focus is on an informative and educational experience with time for fun and relaxation in-between. Please note that no animals are darted without a valid and ethical reason, and at no time is the well being of the animal compromised! Proceeds from the clients' fees are paid over to the wildlife reserve/conservation body to cover the costs of the procedure, and in so doing, clients are contributing directly to the conservation and successful management of the wildlife in South Africa.
