COMPLETE KRUGER
From south to north including a visit to Pafuri River Camp and the famed Spinetail Baobab tree(CBR)

Minimum: 5 nights, 4 days, can be longer depending on level of intensity of trip and detail of coverage.

This tour runs from the Skukuza in the south of Kruger all the way to the very north of the park.

It is an ideal tour for those wanting a full-blown Kruger experience and want to learn about all the different habitats and unique aspects of this world-renowned game reserve.

This tour will greatly increase the visitors chance of finding some of the harder to find Kruger specials such as Lesser Blackwinged and Whitecrowned Plovers and Monotonous Lark.

During wet years, this tour provides a host of further interesting species such as Black Coucal, Blackbacked Cisticola, Dusky Lark and Montagu's Harrier. The tall woodland in the Punda Maria is the southern end of the distribution range of a number of species generally associated with tall Brachystegia and other woodland in Zimbabwe, such as Whitebreasted Cuckooshrike, Arnot's Chat and Rackettailed Roller. The tropical Pafuri area is the limit of the distribution range of a host of more tropical species such as Tropical Boubou, Mottled and Bohm's Spinetail, Wattle-Eyed Flycatcher and Crested Guinefowl.

A visit to Pafuri River camp and the legendary Spinetail Baobab tree traverses a picturesque part of the Northern Province of South Africa and encounters a number of more arid species, here at the eastern end of their distribution range.

The Baobab tree itself is estimated to be 5000 years old, towers above the surrounding vegetation and hosts up to 250 Mottled Spinetails roosting in its inner cavity during the non-breeding season.

In the Field

Our field operator specialises in private, tailor-made tours, built around our clients' specific interests and target species. We will put in that extra effort to ensure that you get the most out of your trip, whether as an individual or part of a group. We do our utmost to ensure that everyone obtains the best possible views of all birds, and hence are always equipped with Kowa telescopes and Sennheiser recording equipment in the field.

While we are dedicated and experienced birders, we are also deeply interested in all aspects of South African natural history and culture and enjoy providing a broader perspective on the areas we visit.

Accommodation

When accommodation is required, we ensure that it is the best value option available, erring on the side of comfort and reflecting local culture whenever possible. Usually, we are able to arrange comfortable and picturesque guest house accommodation close to the best birding spots.

Safety

We possess Professional Driving Permits and have much experience of South African road and safety conditions. On pelagic trips, we take every possible safety precaution and employ only highly experienced skippers and guides.
