Welcome to River House Lodge the AA South Africa's best accommodation award winners 2004/2005/2006(Country-Style Retreate Small).
We are situated in Malelane on the southern border of the Kruger National Park.
Our comfortable 5 star country style guest house is located on the banks of the Crocodile River, in complete harmony with the African bush. We have 12 individually decorated en-suite bedrooms with a choice of either two single beds or one double bed. All bathrooms have a shower over bath, hairdryer and amenities are provided.
Every room has a private balcony which offers uninterrupted river and Kruger National Park views.
Three course dinners are served en famille by lamp light, either in the dining room or on the veranda.
Our comfortable lounge is a peaceful refuge in which to escape with a book and a drink when relaxing becomes hard work.
In addition to a fully stocked bar a selection of fine wines is available. The original pump house has been converted into an intimate chapel for fairy tale weddings. Flower filled and candlelit ceremonies are often witnessed by unexpected four legged guests, much to the delight of the bridal couple and their invited entourage, anything is possible when you exchange vows on the fringe of the jungle. For this once in a lifetime event, the complete function will be arranged and co-ordinated by River House.
At River House we do not have television or radio and sometimes newspapers are frowned upon, news in our world is when a leopard is spotted at the river.
