A large sub-tropical garden offers good birding and ample opportunity for relaxation. Birding, hiking and horse trails leading from the guest house traverse scenic landscapes and a diversity of habitats.
One of the best birding spots in the Soutpansberg, Roodewal Forestry Reserve, is adjacent to the property. This reserve, with its semi-deciduous scrub-forest, is habitat to some of the regions specials like African Broadbill, Green Twinspot, Yellow-spotted Nicator, Crested Guineafowl, Narina Trogon, Gorgeous Bush Shrike and breeding African Crowned Eagle. |
