Ocean View Hotel Cofee bay

We usualy stay here 2 N  the drive to Cofee Bay is amazing.

The Eastern Cape Wild Coast . . . a mystical, magical place where awesome sights, ancient cultures, and traditions are intricately woven into a colourful tapestry of traditional life.
A place where time is governed by the rhythm of the sea and friendly greetings resound across the rolling hills.
A soothing place for restless souls.

A place you need to explore for yourself . . . before it’s too late!

Nestled between towering cliffs and a sparkling sea, Ocean View is an accredited three star country hotel and has earned the highly recommended accolade from the AA Travel Guides.
Management at Ocean View is a family affair and your hosts Peter and Karen and Gary and Karen are waiting to welcome you with their own special blend of Wild Coast hospitality and service.
Family values are held dear here, and mealtimes are characterised by getting together around a table to enjoy hearty home-cooking with the emphasis on flavour and presentation.
Ocean View’s the ideal place to meet new people and forge bonds of friendship that will draw you back to our Bay time and again.

Accommodation at Ocean View is characterised by light, airy double or twin rooms – most of which boast spectacular views of the sea. Spacious family units look out across the gardens. All rooms are comfortably furnished and have en-suite bathrooms.

Do as much, or as little as you like here. Adrenalin addicts will get their kicks abseiling down a sheer cliff face or enjoying a challenging guided quad bike excursion along tracks best suited to cattle and goats! If you prefer the pace a little more steady, guided 4 x 4 trips to places of local interest can also be arranged.
Other popular leisure activities include fishing, diving and snorkelling.
When you’ve had your fill of beachcombing, swimming, surfing, and boogie boarding - the sparkling pool in the hotel gardens is a refreshing alternative.

If you’ve a yen to explore – nearby attractions include the famous rock formation at Hole-in-the-Wall, and Umdumbi beach – rated by “Getaway” Magazine as one of the best beaches in South Africa.

When you feel the need for some retail therapy – visit the craft shops in the area – starting with our very own Periwinkle Shop in the car park where you’ll find a little treasure trove of goods made by South African artists and crafters .

To find out more about Xhosa crafts, customs and traditions, join one of our local guides on a cultural visit and experience life as it really is in a rural Wild Coast village.

If all this sounds like far too much activity, relax on a recliner beside the pool and read a book from our library – or just pull your hat down over your eyes and snooze!

It’s a glorious day in our Bay! We look forward to welcoming you soon!

Characterised by swathes of sandy beaches, towering cliffs where waterfalls tumble into the sea, and dense coastal forests - the Wild Coast is one of the most compelling stretches of coastline in southern Africa.

For the outdoor enthusiast, the area offers a wealth of activities – from recreational fishing, diving and water sports through to bird watching. The best way to experience the ambience of the Wild Coast is by walking, and there are several designated hiking trails from which to choose.

While you're sharing our patch of paradise, take time out to meet the people and find out more about their way of life. You'll be glad you did!
