This short tour takes place in Elim.

Phumani Paper has been innovating technology and training talented crafters across South Africa since 2000. Our organization has assisted in the creation of more than 250 jobs in communities affected by high unemployment and HIV/AIDS. Most crafters are located in rural areas - where few opportunities exist.
Phumani Paper continues to support many handmade paper producing enterprises with access to markets, business skills training and innovative product design and development. Our vision is to provide our handmade paper making enterprises with a path towards reaching their goals of individuality and economic sustainability.
Some of Phumani Paper’s enterprises have been selected to participate within the Artist in Development Programme of UNESCO, a global Programme targeting cultural enterprises in developing countries to increase market growth locally and wider commercial opportunities on an international trading platform.
