This tour has been designed the responsible traveller that is keen to take on a rewarding challenge and support our ongoing community programmes, but who maybe short of time or keen to tag onto another experience. Mukurumuji Camp only sleeps 10 people so you can be assured of a very personal experience. Life 1 has been allows you to reach out to less privileged communities and really makes a difference. You will work alongside local Kenyans on school projects and help improve the lives of the local people with an emphasis on the local school children. The time spent may seem short, but you will be making a valuable contribution to sustainable development in a beautiful setting.
You will spend three days working on classrooms renovations and other amenities which will provide you with opportunities to learn new skills such as bricklaying, plastering and painting as well as experiencing the very important cultural interaction aspect with the local people. The Indian Ocean is only 45 minutes away and we have included an optional trip to the beach also.
