5 day Desert and Dune Safari |

This itinerary is designed to start in Windhoek and end in Swakopmund or Windhoek.
ll these tours can be changed to reflect the lodging of your choice, as well as the duration of the trip. These can be changed to tented luxury camping, shared camping or lodges.
Spreetshoogte Pass / Solitaire / Namib Desert.
Depart from Windhoek and head south through desert shrub savannah to edge of the plateau at the Spreetshoogte Pass from where the view of the desert floor is stunning. Drive down the pass to Solitaire and then on to the Namib Desert.

DAY 2 Sossusvlei / Dead Pan / Dune 45 / Sesriem Gorge
The whole day is set aside in this beautiful area with an early morning rise to drive to the beautiful Sossusvlei area where most of the morning will be spent on dune climbing, photography and to visit the amazing Dead Pan. A stunning area, especially early morning! The afternoon is set aside for an excursion to the Sesriem Gorge.

DAY 3
Today, head back to Solitaire and then west through the Gaub and Kuiseb Canyons to enter the Namib Naukluft Park, the Namib gravel plains. Detour to see the amazing Welwitschia mirabillis plants as well as the Moonlandscape before arriving at the quaint coastal town of Swakopmund.

DAY 4 The morning is set aside for an excursion to the Walvis Bay lagoon where a wide range of birds such as flamingoes, pelicans and waders can be seen. The afternoon is free to spend in Swakopmund. Optional extra activities: - scenic flights over the Skeleton Coast - Dolphin boat cruise at Walvis Bay - Dune 4X4 quad biking etc

DAY 5 A morning excursion to Cape Cross where over 80000 Cape Fur Seals can be seen and have been breeding for centuries. This excursion will also include a stop at the lichen fields as well as a saltpan. This safari ends either in Swakopmund or in Windhoek.
