All these tours can be changed to reflect the lodging of your choice, as well as the duration of the trip.
These can be changed to tented luxury camping, shared camping or lodges.
DAY 1 Depart from Windhoek and travel north via Okahandja on to Okonjima Lodge, home of the AFRICAT Foundation. Activities here include a nature hike, leopard (or cheetah) excursion, viewing nocturnal animals at the night hide as well as “birding” at the bird Hide.

DAY 2 Early morning rise to the Lion Lapa to see the resident lions and then on to take part in the Bushman Trail. Return for a late breakfast and then head on towards Etosha National Park , one of the biggest game reserves in Africa.

DAY 3 Using the lodge outside the park as base, enter Etosha for game drives and game viewing at numerous waterholes. Accommodation will be at Etosha Aoba Lodge or similar. Etosha is known for its large herds of plains game as well as predators and bird species. It is not uncommon to see up to seven different species of animals drinking together at a waterhole, a safe haven from lions during the day!

DAY 4
The whole day is a game drive heading west to Okaukuejo and then exit the park. The route will go west traveling along the southern edge of the Etosha Pan where there are many waterholes where the animals congregate in large numbers. Accommodation tonight will be at one of the Ongava Lodges.

DAY 5
From Etosha, travel southwest to the Damaraland area to arrive at the lodge mid-afternoon. On route, stop over at the “Petrified Forest” and after a long day’s drive, a nature hike in the afternoon. Mowani Lodge set between granite outcrops, a lovely setting for the night.

DAY 6 & 7
Visit the Twyfelfontein rock engravings and paintings before heading south to Uis and then the Skeleton Coast. Detour to Cape Cross to visit the breeding colony of Cape Fur seals.
A full day will be spent at Swakopmund along the Skeleton Coast with a half-day visit to Walvis Bay to visit the lagoon and bird sanctuary, a RAMSA site and National Heritage (over 200000 birds!). The rest of the day is free in Swakopmund or to join one of the optional activities on offer.
These activities range from scenic flights and dolphin boat cruises to dune boarding and dune 4X4 quad biking.

DAY 8 & 9
Fly by light aircraft over the Namib Desert to the Sossusvlei area for two nights. From the lodge, excursions to the beautiful Sossusvlei Dunes, Sesriem Gorge, Dune 45 and Dead Pan. One of the highlights of Namibia, and a super way to end this 10-day visit.
DAY 10
After breakfast, fly to Windhoek where the safari will end.
