Eastern Cape Tours Lodging Meet guests at East London Airport. Briefly tour East London and proceed to MdantsaneTownship the second biggest township in the Southern Hemisphere after Soweto. Experience township life, and we will do some walking around the township, learning about everyday life reality for its inhabitants. Thereafter we then proceed to Mgwali cultural village, where we enjoy traditional food, dancing, stick fighting and story telling. We overnite at Mgwali. We Leave Mgwali after breakfast and drive to Kei Mouth. We know begin our experience of the more rural and traditional area of the Eastern Cape We cross the Great Kei River by pontoon on to Centane to meet a Traditional healer on the way. Our Guests can question and experience how his old man heals people, and about his tradional healing techniques. On the way we will also visit a rural village clinic and have traditional lunch , a local viallge, with some traditional dancing. We will overnight at Trenneries Hotel. Eastern Cape basket weaveing We leave Trenneries for Coffee bay via Mazeepa bay after breakfast. Mazeepa bay island is a fisherman’s paradise where we will cross the suspension bridge to feel the ocean breezeand here we will experience the beauty and splendor of the island and surrounding area. We then proceed to Coffee bay via Qunu to see Nelson Mandela’s home on the way. The drive from the main road to Coffee Bay is a world within itself. We will overnight at Coffee Bay. Coffee Bay is a few hotels and a few stores on the wild Coast..its tranquil, deep into the traditional rural area,and incredibly scenic. Today is a free day and after breakfast you can choose from many different actvities ie walking in the local hills among the local gardens, walk to hole in the wall, 4x4 drives tovillages,sangomas(traditional doctors),walking trails,fishing , laying on the beach, the water is the warmer Indian ocean, river kayaking,visit a craft center, etc
After breakfast We will drive to the Umtata airport,to drop you of. If you need it we can transfer you up to the Kwa Zulu area, or to the local town where you can pickup a car to continue on with your self drive, or if I have prearranged for you to meet another guide, transfer you to your meeting point.
