Three nights and four day tours
Day 1:
Meet guests at East London Airport.
Take a brief tour through East London City , then proceed to Mdantsane the second biggest township in the Southern Hemisphere.
Here we will walk and meet township folk and experience township life.
We will thenproceed to Mgwali cultural village and enjoy a traditional lunch, traditional dancing, stick fighting and story telling.
We will overnight at Mgwali.
Day 2:
Have breakfast here and guests get involved in village projects e.g. Crafts, cooking and field work ..get to know the area by walking around the village., and surrounding local area, accompnaied by a guide..the quite, slow pace, and peacefulness of the area, will touch your soul...
We will overnight at Mgwali again..in this way you can really get a feel of your host family, and local village life.
Day Three:
Have breakfast and leave for Alice through Keiskammahoek a very scenic route along theAmathole mountains. One of the longest mountain ranges in South Africa..
We arrive at Alice, at the popular Education Centre of the Eastern cape and visit Fort HareUniversity which educated many of our leaders of today including former President NelsonMandela.
We visit the De Beer Centenary Art Gallery with its breath taking collection of African Art by Africans themselves, depicting life as they see it, and we will aslo visit the ANC Arhives.
We then leave for King William’s Town after lunch. We visit the Amathole Museum and Steve Biko’s home and his grave weather permitting.
Overnight in King William’s Town at a local guest house.
Day 4
Leave King William’s Town after breakfast for East London and drop off our guests.
