Bypassing Paarl we will climb over the breathtaking Du Toits Kloof Pass, 820-metres, stopping

for photographs where your lens takes YOU.

  A dozen fine estates in the Breedekloof valley  beckon.

Then onto Worcester – the KWV brandy cellar is a must. The Kleinplasie living open air museum and the Botanical garden make a pleasant respite from imbibing.

The Elgin Valley is where the San hunters and Khoi pastoralists migrated with the majestic

wildlife which once roamed the fertile valley.

 In 1966, on Applethwaite Farm, Edmond Lombardi  created a drink, free of additives and preservatives, a pure apple-juice beverage known as 'Appletiser'.

We will travel East through the modern town of Somerset West and up over Sir Lowry’s Pass.

The view is spectacular. Make sure you have plenty of pixels in your camera.

 Numerous fruit  and wine farms await your palate as well as a Brandy Distillery. Country Farm Stalls will entice you.
