Our guests get to meet artists in their studios and homes, spend time in conversation with them, and get a real sense of the challenges, the joys, the headspaces and the goals. What's it like to be an artist in Cape Town right now? What is their approach to their work? What inspires them? It's also an opportunity to shop for original Cape Town art!
The Art Route is an opportunity to get right inside the work and minds of two Cape Town artists on each trip. We begin in the CBD for an introduction to the experience and a cup of coffee, and then we move from there to visit to a gallery for an overview of the local art scene, before visiting the two artists in their studios. The artists vary in style and medium. But the central thread is originality and quality.
