Accommodation establishments in South Africa are graded on a new star system, which has recently been put in place and grading is ongoing. However, some establishments may still be clinging to their old star status.

The system is pretty self-explanatory. A one-star establishment is acceptable - clean, comfortable and adequate. Two stars show it's pretty good, three mean it really is good, and four stars indicate excellent standards of accommodation, food and service. Only exceptional establishments, with that little bit extra, achieve five stars.

These properties are located in and around South Africa and the neighboring areas. Some are close to downtown areas, some are closer to the beach areas. They vary in size and amenities. We have something for all budgets.
